wnc magazine – bridal party benefit

WNC Magazine is a fantastic publication that highlights “Mountain Living in Western North Carolina”.  It’s one of my favorite magazines to read, especially this issue!  They have a 40+ page Wedding Guide that features one of my weddings in the announcements and another image in the nifty ideas section.

Tonight, WNC Magazine and Studio Flora Diva are hosting The Bridal Party – A Special Event to Benefit Climbing Towards Confidence.  The event starts at 7:00 and will be held at Shay Brown Events in downtown Asheville.  Brides-to-be won’t want to miss the opportunity to consult with Asheville’s top wedding professionals while supporting a great cause!

southern weddings magazine

This week, the first issue of Southern Weddings Magazine hit the newsstand!  I was so excited to see Jose Villa’s photo on the cover!  The magazine is an awesome print version of their very stylish blog.  Every day, Southern Weddings features a new incredible Southern style wedding.  It is awesome to see a blog that appreciates photographers as much as they do.  I actually have a small ad on their website and was featured on their blog in July.  See the post here.  I need to post more on my blog, so that they can see the awesome weddings I am shooting and feature them.  Another 2009 goal!  I was thrilled to have one of my images in the magazine, even if it is very tiny.

Desiree’s bouquet!

day 9 2009

Ok, so I didn’t do one of those retrospectives on 2008 or blog all my goals for 2009.  The month that I spent sick with bronchitis from before Thanksgiving until finally feeling better on Christmas Day seriously has my schedule crammed pack full.  I don’t even know how many days that I was too sick to work or too drugged out on Mucinex and antibiotics to really concentrate.  It was a brutal roller coaster ride of getting some better, shooting outside in the rain or incredible cold, getting much worse again and on and on.  UGH!

I have a lot of goals for 2009, but the biggest one is EFFICIENCY!!!  I am trying to set up better systems and scheduling to make 2009 the best year ever!  I have had ShootQ has a founding member for over a year.  That baby is getting SET UP!  I sooo want to have some personal time.  As in time that I am not working, which I haven’t had in over a year.  Like sitting on the couch or going to the movie with friends or finally getting up and motivated to exercise and cook!  FUN is another huge goal!!!

If you want to keep up with me on a personal level, my Twitter is www.twitter.com/reginaholder  That also updates my Facebook account, which you can find through my old email address:  reginaholder@hotmail.com  I love keeping in touch with brides, friends and other photographers!  Living in the middle of nowhere with just the sweetest dog ever, the internet is my connection to the outside world.  Since no blog post should be without an image, here is an image that I posted on Twitter a couple weeks ago of Lennox hugging her “boyfriend”, a stuffed version of her from IKEA.
