Jennie and James had a very special location for their wedding, his grandparent’s home. Oakforest was built in 1807 and is on the National Registry. They had a relaxed day, once James arrived. Jennie was waiting and worried about him not arriving per her detailed schedule. He had to take back roads in the MG and it took longer than expected. I love playing with light and the shots of her watching out the windows. The interior shots are all so wonderful. Each room is so full of family history and heirlooms. Jennie and James told me when I met with them that they wanted to see each and spend time doing couple shots before the ceremony. They are such a sweet couple! After the ceremony on the front steps, they had a catered lunch and spent time with their loved ones. Then, James’ grandfather took the guys down to the barn to shoot antique pistols and the girls took turns throwing the bouquet off the top balcony. I love that they included their dog in the day’s events. He was an onlooker during the ceremony and quick to congratulate them at the end of the aisle. They drove off with everyone blowing bubbles and he wanted to go. Luckily, they just circled and came back.

“Regina,
Thank you so much, the picture are just wonderful. I’ve watched it about four times since I got to work this morning; I don’t think I’ll getting much done for a bit…. I can’t thank you enough. Everything is so beautiful and you were so much help. “
